Ingredients

1/2 cup of cut up strawberries or strawberry tops

1.25 cups of 70-90 proof unflavored alcohol (I prefer Rum)
Instructions

In a mason mason jar

Add strawberries and alcohol, make sure strawberries are submerged in alcohol

Top with a lid (DO NOT seal them with pressure or a heat bath, it is VERY DANGEROUS)

Label with date

Let sit for 2+ weeks. Once it smells like strawberries and not alcohol its ready!

The strawberries WILL turn brown, its natural.

You can pull the soaked strawberries out and use them in baking or cocktails. Remove leaves before using in other applications.
